Wedding Photography | Best of 2025
If you’re planning a wedding and starting to think about photography and how you’d like your day captured, this post brings together around 100 images from the past year. They show how I capture weddings across the UK, focusing on real moments, natural interactions, and days that are allowed to unfold without being directed.
I wrapped up my final full wedding gallery just before Christmas and have spent the last few days of the year looking back through my work and planning for 2026. 2025 saw me photograph weddings in all sorts of settings, from relaxed countryside celebrations to garden parties and city venues, always aiming to capture the genuine story as it happens.
I do also take a few relaxed portraits, but never for long and never in a way that pulls you away from your guests. You can read more about my approach and style here.
The In-Between Moments Matter
As you look through these photos, you’ll notice I pay attention to the in-between moments as much as the big ones. Small interactions, side stories, and things you might not notice at the time often become the most meaningful when you look back. Of course, there’s confetti, first kisses, and busy dance floors, but the quieter moments with your guests often tell the fuller story of your day.
A big part of my approach this year has been continuing to build genuine connections with the people I photograph. Feeling comfortable with your wedding photographer makes a huge difference, especially if being posed or directed doesn’t sound like your idea of fun. When there’s trust, everything flows more naturally and the photos reflect that. I’ve been grateful for the feedback I’ve received this year, including being nominated by one couple for The Wedding Industry Awards.
This year’s weddings took me to a mix of familiar places and new surroundings across the UK. From Ruth and her mates doing pre-bridal prep Parkrun on Crosby Beach, to Julia and Joe surprising everyone by changing into Julia’s mum’s kimono for the reception at The Tipis at Riley Green. Every wedding has felt different, full of surprises and energy, and that’s something I love. The little moments that made you laugh, gave you goosebumps, or you didn’t even see, but made me pause for a few seconds are the ones that will stick with you as you re-live your day.
Looking Ahead to 2026 and More Fun Weddings
Being a wedding photographer is something I don’t take for granted. I’ve loved this year, and getting to capture moments and tell the story of people’s wedding days genuinely is the best job in the world. I feel lucky to be able to do this most weekends.
I’m looking forward to 2026 and travelling around the UK to photograph more fun weddings with people who value the unposed, real connections, and a bit of freedom on their wedding day. I hope these photos give you a sense of how your own wedding memories could feel and a little appreciation for the moments you might not even realise may matter the most.
