Sefton Park Palm House Wedding Photographer | Hannah + Alex

It was amazing to spend the day with Hannah and Alex, as their wedding photographer at The Palm House in Sefton Park. I had been looking forward to this date since they booked me to capture their celebration almost a year before, the Palm House was a new venue for me, and I couldn't wait to explore its unique charm and character. Hannah and Alex are a wonderfully creative couple immersed in the art and design industry, and spending the day with them and their closest friends and family was amazing. They put so much effort into the personal touches on the day, designing the table decorations and all the signage themselves using a charming pink theme that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the Palm House, creating a stunning setting for their celebration.

A tropical Palm House wedding in Liverpool’s Sefton Park

The Palm House in Liverpool’s Sefton Park is one of the UK's premier city wedding venues. Lovingly restored in the early 2000s, this iconic venue features a breathtaking botanical garden, bathed in beautiful natural light, ideal for capturing stunning moments throughout the day. The lush greens provide an enchanting backdrop that adds an extra touch of magic to any celebration. Getting ready at The Titanic Hotel

Hannah had her hair and makeup professionally done at the salon before returning to The Titanic Hotel. She requested some images captured with her bridesmaids and dad upon arrival. After capturing a few portraits of Hannah in her gorgeous dress near the window and a few group photos, I took the opportunity to get a few candid shots as the excitement built up as Hannah finished getting ready. The timing couldn't have been better, as her dad arrived just in time to see her in her dress for the first time before I made my way across town to the Palm House.

It’s Friday I’m in Love

The Palm House buzzed with excitement and joy throughout the day, with happy, smiling faces wherever I turned. Alex, looking sharp in a dark green suit and pink tie, greeted guests upon their arrival and ushered them to their seats. It wasn't long before the vintage car pulled up, carrying Hannah, her dad, and the bridesmaids ready to walk down the aisle. After a heartfelt ceremony, with touching readings from both Hannah and Alex's mums, the newlyweds stepped outside for a joyous confetti line.

Following the formal group photos in front of the Palm House, everyone gathered inside for the drinks reception, where they were treated to entertainment by local magician Magik Ash. His impressive tricks both confused and delighted guests, adding a touch of magic to the afternoon. I must also mention the incredible team at The Palm House — so professional, friendly, and supportive throughout the day!

Despite the changeable weather earlier in the day, with a few cold showers in the morning, the sun made a timely appearance as the reception kicked into full swing. Its warm glow illuminated the tables as guests took their seats for the meal. I kept an eye on the sun throughout, and as it began to set across the park, we were treated to some beautiful golden light. I asked Hannah and Alex if they’d like to take a leisurely walk around the grounds of the Palm House to capture some relaxed photos of them together. Thankfully, they were more than happy to oblige, and we ended up with some truly lovely shots.

The speeches were incredibly emotional and moving, and I was fortunate to capture some heartwarming moments. Then, as the evening party kicked off, the Palm House was bathed in a lovely pink glow, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration. Here are a few of my favourite images from Hannah and Alex’s incredible day. If you're planning your wedding at Sefton Park Palm House and enjoy these photos, and if you're looking for a Liverpool wedding photographer to capture your day in a relaxed and authentic way, I'd love to hear from you. Don't hesitate to reach out — it would be fantastic to chat with you about your special day.
