30 James Street Wedding Photographer | Sarah + Paul

A lovely city-centre wedding in the heart of Liverpool

In the heart of Liverpool, Sarah and Paul celebrated their wedding last September at the charming 30 James Street Hotel, surrounded by loved ones, including daughter Amelia as a flower girl and son Harley as the ring bearer, the day was a joy to capture.

Sarah was staying at the hotel and I documented her and her bridal party having a few drinks and listening to some tunes while getting ready. There was a touching moment when Sarah's dad saw her in her dress for the first time.

The White Star Grand Hall

I then made my way to The White Star Grand Hall where Paul welcomed guests as they arrived for the ceremony and quietly waited for Sarah. The ceremony had a few emotional moments, with a few tears shed before exchanging their vows and tying the knot.

Guests then made their way up to the rooftop bar while the group photos were captured, before Sarah and Paul went for a little walk for a few minutes along the Strand just outside where we quickly captured some relaxed photos of the couple together, before going back to enjoy the reception drinks. The rooftop bar is a great space with wonderful views across Liverpool and we were lucky with the weather as the sun shone down.

Returning to the White Star Grand Hall for the wedding breakfast, heartfelt speeches were given by Paul, Sarah, Best Man Matty, and Made-of-Honour Kellie. The dancefloor came alive early on, and following Sarah and Paul’s first dance, Sarah then had a dance with her father, Fran, which was such an emotional moment for the two of them and such a joy to be able to capture. The evening continued with a DJ and sax player providing the tunes.

Here are some of my favourite moments from Sarah and Paul's special day. Get in touch if you’re planning your Liverpool wedding and would like your day captured in a relaxed way without any posing, it would be so great to hear from you.
